How To Get Twitter Followers

I am sure that using some of my Twitter tips will get you more followers but how many do you really need? Although there is no simple answer to that one I will tell you that it doesn't matter how many followers you have. If you have a few people that will spread your message and have influence in your niche that is gold.

One one of my twitter accounts I have around 900 followers, every time I tweet something I know I have about 7 or 8 loyal followers that will retweet it to their 1000 plus followers each. So every time I tweet something it goes out to about 7000-8000 people that are in my niche even though I only have 900 followers.

Since the message I tweeted about is of some sort of quality and will usually include a url back to a page on my site I can get about 5000 people on to my website. If only a few people buy something that's cool, the real money making will happen later because usually a few dozen people sign up for my email list which I can market to whenever I wish and with higher paying products.

How to Get More Followers

There are a few things that I do to get more followers, one is find the most powerful twitterer in your niche and follow a few dozen people that they are following. Odds are they have already weeded out the people that are spammers and such. A good example of this is if you want to follow celebrities you can see who Oprah is following and they follow them. It will put you in the who's who of the celebrity world. Of course you can do better then Oprah you could follow celebrities that actually use twitter like Kirstie Alley or Denise Richards. I enjoy them because they actually use twitter to talk to other celebrities.

You have to be tweeting quality stuff for them to follow you back but once you get them to follow you and you tweet something you could influence Hollywood:) After you follow them send them an @ message and let them know you liked their last movie, this usually gets them to follow you.

Once again it is not about the amount of followers that you have as long as you have the most important people in your niche following you. Take my twitter as an example as of this my main one is only at about 250 followers but when I tweet something it usually goes out to a large network of affiliate marketers.
