Just installed some software for podcasting. I am looking for questions that you want to actually HEAR an answer.

The most obvious place to start for Questions / Topics is in this forum. You've got a wealth of inquiries to pull from and I'm always amazed at how the search for answers or information on topics are exactly the same questions I have. Putting myself in your shoes, (I wish I knew as much as you two know) ... I'd build a library of podcasts starting with the basics to create a strong foundation ... then expand upon those basics into other areas. By doing so, you'd build a valuable library of resources for everyone. Just thinking out loud here.  Grin

I agree that there are tons of questions already here, but lots are specific to a particular site.  Like Vinny said, it is easier to start with a set of questions about a particular topic.  So instead of "teach me SEO" it's "I really don't understand meta tags and how to use them.  How does it really impact my site and the search engines".  Also, by having people ask specific questions we know what is on people's minds and can address first things that people need to know now.

I plan to include segments on using PODs to make money online, but again, I need someone to ask the questions and don't want to just go off on my own talking... Smiley  Maybe you and I can work on that a bit Sag! You have spare time right? Smiley

Alrighty, I am working up a series of questions on Twitter specifically since everyone seems to mention it. I have a Twitter account but am really at a loss on how to use it effectively. Would this be too specific or should the topic spread out to cover other social sites. Personally, I'd really like to learn more about using Twitter first.

I think a set of questions about Twitter is perfect.  A lesson on each major social network (Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, Orkut) and then one tying them together should be a great series Smiley

I bought a book trying to figure out how to do a video with sound for YouTube .... I have no clue - no time to even read the book yet .... LOL ... but it get very wordy and is not crystal clear with a list of equipment and steps ... what little I read seems to meander around confusing me ... probably why I haven't made the time to read it (sigh).

Are YouTube type videos and podcasts the same thing?
Are both created the same way?
Are there several different ways to create them?
What equipment is needed / used? (web camera, digital camera, computer, video capture card, SLR camera, microphone, headphones, etc)?
What software(s)?
What are the steps from start to finish?

Barbara

There is no need in reading a book, although it may help in the long run. Videos for Youtube is way different then a podcast. They both do the same thing in using media to get traffic back to your site.

Youtube videos can be made with your digital camera or a flip video. If you want to edit them odds are you have software on your computer already that will do an ok job.

Barbara watch this video from Tim Carter http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zFePU1uvtc You will learn more then in that book. Just keep in mind Tim makes really quality videos.
