When I first started I thought I knew it all. What a mistake that was. I had no clue about keywords and search engines and how they worked. I don't claim to know it all now and I never will. All I know is what works for me and that is enough. Some affiliate marketers do pay per click and some do large database sites. I don't do either one of those, at least not in the way some affiliate do it.

I was doing EBay auctions and I figured if I can make a auction page I could make a webpage and string a few together and call it a site.

My biggest mistake is one that is common among newbie's to affiliate marketing. I joined every program under the sun. What a mistake that was, by far my biggest mistake to this date with affiliate marketing. If I had focused on one niche I would have been much better off.

I expanded too fast and had too many sites that sucked and didn't sell a thing. I am hoping that I can save you the trouble if you are new to affiliate marketing.
